"Echoes of Home" - a handmade artist book
"Echoes of Home" - a handmade artist book
When does a house cease to be a home?
Is it when the last person walks out the door? When silence settles into the walls? When daily routines are broken?
Or does the essence of home linger in the residue of daily life that clings to the objects left behind, the layers of paint, the worn floorboards, or the light that enters the rooms?
Or is it bound not to presence, but to memory?
Perhaps home is not a place, but a condition - a temporary alignment of space, time, and human presence.
But when time halts and presence slips away, does the house return to being just a house? Or does it continue to hold something, however intangible, of what once was?
Echoes of Home is a meditation on that question. These images are not about decay, but about presence and absence, and the fragile space between them. They invite the viewer to pause, to notice, to feel. Because even in stillness, something remains.
